Started his stand up comedy career in October 2003 – and in his first year as a stand up he performed almost 100 gigs !! (most for free).His hard work and consistency as a comic proves the paradox that he actually takes his comedy seriously!! An audience favourite – his Antics as a housemate in the popular reality TV show ‘’Big Brother II’’ is always a feature. Him being an Indian …Christian with a Jewish name that can speak ‘properly’ English makes his comedy as unique as his upbringing – crossing the cultural divide from Township kid to low profile has been celebrity…!! His Comedy reflects an intelligent comedian that keeps the audience captivated with his easy and witty brand of humour. This natural comedian is a regular on the Jo’burg comedy circuit and has played at all of the established venues.
He is available to host Corporate Functions, Conferences, Golf Days, Product Launches and Banquets. Formal Family Functions,21st Birthday Parties, Weddings -doing MC work and Comedy.
Rabin has also worked as a back up DJ/Lighting Technician and Club Host at the following Night Clubs: Night Fever – Johannesburg (2002-2004) Tiger Tiger – Rivonia (2004-2007) Manhattan Club – Rivonia (2007-2010)
After working for a prominent Architectural firm in Johannesburg for 13 Years, Rabin now actively seeks new venues and comedic talent, and is one of a very few ‘Comedy Pimps’ in Joburg. He also started ComicRevolution which books, manages,and produces premium comedy acts in South Africa. Including at top Live music venue’s Tanz Café and Blues Room in Johannesburg. ComicRevolution also produces Live Comedy performances around the country. Venues include the Joburg Theatre, Sibaya Casino, Boardwalk Casino, Baxter Theatre, Gandhi Hall. Rabin is PA to Comedians Trevor Noah and Eugene Khoza.
